So why are Ontario Citizens being denied?

Recall is a process through which a registered voter can petition to remove a Member of the Legislative Assembly from office. A voter can only petition to recall the Member for the electoral district in which they are registered to vote. The voter must collect signatures from more than 40% of voters eligible to sign the petition in that electoral district. Applications for recall petitions cannot be submitted to Elections BC during the 18 months after the Member was elected. In Canada, the recall process is unique to B.C. – no other province or territory has a system in place for removing elected representatives from office between elections. 

The question is, which of our squalid political parties will give citizens the ability to turf any dirty lying skunk that deceives voters into the wrong choice?

 

Abuse of Power “Seven Years of Hell”

You buy a property on which to build your house. But there is a snag! The conservation authority (CA) decides that part of your property is unsafe predicated on a possible hundred year flood!  Even though there are homes on either side of you and safety is not in their mandate... too Bad!

You are forced to turn to the courts to get help. You succeed in getting help. Five judges and several court dates spanning seven years all finding in your favour but to no avail. 

Beaten down, all your money gone the conservation authorities are still appealing like some demonic witch hunters desperately searching for a friendly judge to up-hold their unique empire building efforts enabling the CA to control more and more private property. 

The onus for hauling citizens into court on multiple appeals for their spurious agenda must be burdened personally by the CA decision makers; not by taxpayers!

Nano Poison

 Is there anyone that doesn’t accept the fact that the Niagara Peninsula Region of Canada is one of the most beautiful regions in the whole world?

In the coffee table book ‘Portraits of Niagara’ Photographer Preston Haskell asserts that Niagara proffers the longest shot list of any comparable sized area in the world. Hundreds of talented Niagara photographers have repeatedly proven this point.

That being said is it possible that there is a secret down side hidden from the casual observer touring our version of Eden. If there was a hidden downside it would surely be corrected by our civic minded leaders. After all, with 50% more politicians than any other area in Canada and a whole dozen mayors stacking the deck on Niagara Regional Council (12 of 30) all grasping for benefit to support their own parochial bottom line.

Then of course we have 11 Niagara Regional councilors who also sit as board members of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority as squalid guardians to prevent public scrutiny and/or accountability to the citizens.

The matter of toxic pollution in the Niagara Region was first brought to our attention by Mr. Alexander Davidoff who had been desperately attempting to bring the matter of toxic pollution to local authorities for some time. It was Mr. Davidoff who captured, and paid for, the samples which proved to be lethal according to lab tests. These pollutants killed all the Swans living on the Henley Rowing Course!

From that time until now we have been reporting on toxic pollution from toxic leachate flowing into Lake Erie from dump sites in Wainfleet, Ontario to Mount Carcinogen within the urban boundaries of Welland, Ontario.

It took thousands of pictures and 2 presentations to Niagara Regional Council to get our authorities to move their ass on the disgusting dumpsites dotting our pristine landscape!

Without realizing it the Citizens of Niagara have persevered through and is persevering illegal acts, secrecy, treachery, corruption, liars, legal perjury, convicted criminals on our police force, missing money ranging over $100 Million, including missing files needed to recover these $Millions.

Folks, if you don’t like what is going on in Niagara, you might be alarmed with what we are obligated to inform you of, which is the scariest expose` to date. If you have being living under an illusion that you can somehow avoid the effects of dangerous toxins then ask yourself why Niagara already has such abnormally high rates of life threatening illnesses.

So here it is! ‘News Alert Niagara’ has been informed that the City of Thorold and The Region of Niagara has given tentative approval for a company that wants to build an incinerator for municipal and industrial waste on Allanport Road to seek a 8¢ per kilowatt hour, taxpayer-funded subsidy for any energy the incinerator produces. This is the first step to building this polluting incinerator between the communities of Port Robinson and Allanburg.

Our authorities use spurious language such as ‘‘Garbage in – Butterflies out” when in fact it’s ‘Garbage in Toxins’ out! 
 
Who would deliberately choose food products or fruit based drinks once they become aware that the pristine fruit belt of Niagara has needlessly suffered constant ongoing airborne toxic pollution?

Only two of our regional councilors voted against this poisoning incinerator! One based on being informed and another because of the incinerator proponents and bureaucrats skulking around the system to fool our elected councilors and even avoiding our Waste Management Planning Steering Committee.

Citizens have successfully fought incinerator proposals in several Ontario communities on the basis that toxic emissions, especially the very fine particulate called nano particles, cannot be filtered from the air we breathe! Citizens in Niagara are organizing, to fight this proposal, too. According to the past conduct of our Niagara Authorities it only takes the smell of a few $bucks for them to sell out the health and welfare of its Niagara Citizens, especially our susceptible children.

This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth.

Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying' even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States.

When the franc was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it. When distant cities are hit by earthquakes, it is the United

States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped.

The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans. Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon - - not once, but several times - and safely home again.

You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.

When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the American who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.

I can name you 5,000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.

Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those.

Save our Wetlands from the NPCA

Many people want to know why our Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) champions development and developers over the the environment, which they are supposed to protect and Conserve. What they are assisting the developer to do to this pristine wetland, the NPCA has destroyed innocent citizens. 

While hundreds of citizens stood is the soft rain listening to speaker after speaker plea to save the last bastion of Provincially Significant Wetland in Niagara Falls, their stood Bruce Timms Chair NPCA Board diligently and shamelessly taking notes.

A strange spectacle since he leads the attack on the PSW. Perhaps the song "What Side are you on" conducted by Brock Professor Dr. Bacher was actually aimed at Bruce Timms?

Thanks to Brock's Professor Dr. John Bacher we have definitive answers countering the pathetic effort by the NPCA to destroy what Niagara needs in favour of an overabundance of unneeded $development and $developers.

Sadly we've learned that with the blessing of Niagara Authorities, which we have elected an hired,  the NPCA is building an evil empire more interested in $money than ecology.

Perhaps Alan Jamieson, a Cayuga Nation senior, spelled things out in frank terms.
“You have enough malls, enough shopping centers,” he said. “You have enough.”
