The
Wynne Government’s mismanagement of the Ontario education system is alarming.
Surely you'll agree with that a strong education system is a major part of a
strong economy and a strong society.
Unfortunately, EQAO math scores have been
declining for years, but they hit a new low recently.
50% of students in grade
6 can't meet the provincial standard in mathematics. In grade 3, it's even
worse: 63% fail to meet the standard.
Wynne’s
approach to education just isn't working unless you consider the indoctrination
of alternative sex.
Children aren’t even expected to memorize multiplication tables anymore.
Nevertheless, the Government claims to be doing something about it.
They plan to set aside $60 million in order to devote an average of 60 minutes
of "protected math learning time."
Parents may have doubts
about this strategy, since it’s not so much a question of time -- but rather of
a failed curriculum.
