The best laid plans of mice and men

The scenario is always the same.

Well intentioned decision-makers supposedly doing their best to pass rules and regulations for the betterment of society or a least that is the hope and trust of their constituents.

Now we come to the morbid bid because we have no way of stopping it; it being the penchant for our decision makers for taking out their varied frustrations on the nearest source of satisfaction, that being financially attacking property owners.

News Alert Niagara has no issue with the development of laws to prevent degradation of property standards but the problem lies in the application of the law. 

Desire a forest canopy - financially attack property owners, with hefty fines, over their private property trees!

Trouble with your beaches you've polluted - Charge for Beach parking!

Troubled by Scribble Graffiti - financially penalize Graffiti victims!

Offended by homeless camps - jack up the cost of home ownership?

Can't take care of your manufacturing sector - sit in silence as they are driven out "until hell freezes over"!

Can't attract Manufacturing - display intolerance!

Can't look after your downtown - Burden downtown with an expensive and feckless Downtown Association!

The reason civic leaders financially attack private property is because private property has equity! Their is no money available from the homeless and they can't catch Graffiti artists so they go after home equity predicated on the self-created dearth of manufacturing and its inherit ability to generate new wealth.

The latest hint of trouble can be viewed starting at the 1:50 mark of the St. Catharines City Council Meeting - June 13, 2022 where the crises of long grass is being compared to the hazards of snow and icy sidewalks! Our feckless councilors agonized over raising long grass fines from $250 per day to $1000 per day and speeding up fine collection; again on their constant targeting of property owners!

All this while we have guns, drugs, gangs, murder and mayhem or at least many more important things to worry about than long grass and financially attacking property owners! 

Interesting is the fact that after our civic leaders pass their laws they wash their hands of the outcome of their decisions. When their well-meant decisions are abused or misused they tend to go silent. Even when informed, they say nothing because their political career is more important!

News Alert Niagara courteously kept City Council apprised of the most disgusting abuses of Citizens, which can be read by Clicking Here. What The City of St. Catharines did to Mr. Wakulich should have landed the perpetrators in jail! 

News Alert Niagara never heard a single word from these 'Integrity Laden' characters. Not once did we receive explanation or even a correction to the information we provided as evidenced by their dearth of comment available to them at the bottom of hundreds of articles. 

At the time of this publication News Alert Niagara has over 555,000 page views plus untold numbers of online readers.

Not once were we invited to talk about any of our articles, not even the disgusting Wakulich story! If we had we could have told about listening to the City's prosecutor on the phone to St. Catharines calling from the Welland Court House trying to determine how many more thousands he should demand from Mr. Wakulich!

Don't worry folks, even after this story, sent via email (June 23) directly to these 'Integrity Laden' characters, we won't expect a response!

During the June 13, 2022 episode of St. Catharines City Council, the matter of integrity was brought up predicated on the Integrity Commissioner's findings that Integrity is intact even when the will of the voter is negated!

Perhaps Mayor Integrity should be asked about the Camilleri story where he turned his back on another citizen so a city worker could get away with flooding out the neighboring Camilleri property.

We are sorry to report that the only thing louder than their deafening silence is the irritating grind of their self proclaimed integrity!

Beyond Hand-Me-Downs

Foreword

The year was Nineteen Ninety-Eight. That was a very consequential year. That year was of such consequence to Nancy and me for one very good reason. That was the year we met Ayn Rand. That edifying introduction was exactly one century after the revolutionary painter, Mr. Gauguin, wrote his enlightening Eighteen Ninety-Eight letter to Dr. Gouzer espousing his contempt for the critics, academics and mediocrities that he felt were dragging on the world of art at that time. I often muse that we endure those very same characters that perpetually drag on today’s art world with their everlasting pant-load of historic suppositions and their enduring fear of the unversed and innovative. 

Gauguin’s rebellious letter was a century after the French Revolution; a revolting contretemps that gave some of the greatest nations on earth pause for thought, reflection, and a sense of urgency for social reform.

The French Revolution, like the American Revolution, was born of the enlightened philosophy that characteristically rages against recurrent arrogance of power. The French Revolution, like the American Revolution, ruptured centuries of forcefully contained loathing. Words, expressions, and thoughts such as, “Man is born free, yet everywhere he is in chains”, captured the minds and hearts of the repressed, unleashing an explosion of unstoppable energy. The revolution continued in various forms following the dramatically induced paraphrase of the American experience, “Declaration of the Rights of Man”. Centuries of vulgar assumption, abuse, and arrogance are observably not changed overnight, or indeed, any time soon.

My interest lies in the fact that these words, “Man is born free, yet everywhere he is in chains”, are written, and caused to be written in the book titled The Social Contract, by an intuitive fifty-year-old, unschooled, eighteenth century French philosopher, named Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Given that Rousseau self-educated himself through reading, could it be that he has received these sentiments from the English philosopher John Lock? Lock proffers the theory of a fair and balanced social contract between the state and the individual.

Lock also espouses his judgment that a government that breaks the social contract can be terminated, even by force if necessary. I must conclude that Lock garners his opinion from history. There certainly has been, and continues to be, ample evidence of arrogance of power, abuse of power, malignant greed, and even professional misconduct, from which eternally hopeful and repeatedly deceived societies have been, and continue to be, so painfully forced to rediscover. Society is repeatedly forced to rediscover that which they fail to learn from available prior knowledge, from readily available information that stares society in the face, screams enlightenment, shrieks to be heard, bangs on debilitated brains incapacitated by the arrogant supposition of overly educated know-it-alls, who surmise that so much knowledge has already been acquired that the computation of fact, intuitive deduction, and reason are only valuable if combined with inflated forms of deceptively and deliberately protracted study.

Our philosophy and our reasoning can be traced back through knowledge handed down to us from recorded history. Aristotle, one of history’s most influential philosophers, transforms the inherent thinking of Socrates, through the efforts and philosophy of Plato, into a road map of life that influences our politics, our legal system, and even our thought.

Music, as we know it, following the common ‘Gregorian chant’, can be charted in an unbroken line from the magnificent and, more importantly, creative efforts of the sixteenth century composer, Palestrina, “The Prince of Music” and his enduring Missa Papea Marcelli to the present day.

Art, as we appreciate it, has been continually and masterfully portrayed back 30,000 years to the primitive, ever imaginative and illuminating, images created on the walls of caves.

Political, professional, and bureaucratic corruption and greed, as we suffer it, highlights the destruction of every society in history. Can there be any greater menace to any society?

Knowledge, as we understand it, has been expanding throughout the course of history. It has been handed down to us through verse and song. The receptive, particularly the very young, grasp for knowledge like a drowning man will clutch for a straw. Long before we understand that we need knowledge for life’s prerequisites, we are eagerly searching for it in every nook, crook and cranny of our domain. Baring irrational impediments, our eager search endures unabated and unabashedly for the whole of our natural lives. We fervently harvest the preponderance of our desired knowledge by inquisitive investigation. We garner the necessary expertise throughout our vocation as a protégé.

All prior knowledge comes to us as hand-me-downs. Everything we think we know, and everything that we think we are, comes from others. The only time we advance beyond hand-me-downs is the moment we create or discover something that never was.

Knowledge appears and expands through continual discovery, rediscovery, and more importantly, creative genius. Our knowledge will continue to appear and expand by fortuitous discovery and/or through the efforts of the multitude of marvelous people with the innate propensity to create.

Facing the turn of the century and entering the third millennium, how are we doing? Our scientific knowledge has mushroomed! Technology has triumphed! We are on the cutting edge in medicine! Our education system is smugly espoused to be the greatest! The supposedly unassailable Bill of Rights and Constitution ostensibly protects personal rights and freedoms. With all this extraordinary success and a good measure of professional braggadocio, surely we should be forgiven if we, erroneously, conclude that man’s inherent barbarism has also been conquered.

Unfortunately, our baggage of brutality has traveled with us through all of our successes. Everything we have accomplished, everything we have developed, and everything we have learned is being put to use either as weapons or bait.

The world is becoming a society of knowledgeable savages!

NO! It's Corruption, STUPID!

The corrupt always try to divert attention by making claims in the (deceptively) wrong direction.

However, we have history to guide us, if we will pay attention, that the failures of our society is predicated on corruption. Corruption has caused the demise of every society of every style, shape or form tried by throughout history.

Following the definitive 1918 works of Oswald Spengler we have been repeatedly fed 'diverting attention' by the corrupt to the present day. Yet we continually vote for the very individuals that have done little more than perpetuate society's problems.

Elected officials spouting diverting platitudes while hiding the reasons they have silently failed in their duties! Elected officials who even fail to speak up on the behalf of their constituents is a clear indication as to why you should never vote for them!

We even have assholes claiming they stand for societal freedoms while they refuse their constituents the protection of a recall mechanism! The same recall mechanism that helped straighten out the ONLY Province with the last resort of recall! 

Sadly we have elected public servants who believe they were elected to Rule! How would you rate their ruling performance? Are you comfortable with the diminution of our Canadian manufacturing with their corresponding permanent loss of jobs? What about the world characterization of our rulers as 'Tyrannical Fascists'?

 Sadly, the world's most efficient Teacher  is Canadian!

The name of this efficient Teacher is none other than the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Justin Trudeau.

PM Trudeau is a contender for the unenviable International 'Toilet Seat Award' for his prowess as a teacher in the black arts of Fraud, Lying, Coverup, Waste, Tyranny, Fascism and for being the worst 'Freedom Stealing' Asshole* to ever lead an internationally infamous gang of corrupt goons masquerading as a political party to abuse the Citizens of Canada!    

*Asshole [verb] One who shits on you

Please excuse the language. It stems from the desperation of the attempt to get through to the leaders that only listen to explicit and foul language. 

Our article titled 'Canada the Good - until NOW' refers to the PM'S conduct that has lowered internationally recognized genteel disposition of Canadians.

At this point we take you to the most important lessen taught to us by the world's most efficient teacher and that is the power of the purse. Our Tyrannical Asshole PM fully illustrated the devastation of having your own personal funds illegally cut off leaving you destitute!

One has to wonder what would happen if the 'Tyrannical Assholes' currently running the country had their funds cut off? It's called a tax revolt and has been used very effectively in many parts of Canada and it has done so without violence! Violence in any form is to be avoided.

However, Citizens hire and elect their leaders to run their affairs with honesty and integrity, not as some unscrupulous manager of a personal slush fund. Citizens have no obligation to fund corruption!

The saddest thing of all is to watch the Trudeau sycophants sitting in consenting silence of crime and corruption as if they don't know what is going on all around them. The scurrilous conduct of the current Liberal Government is not a new phenomenon. This scurrilous conduct is a repeated nightmare that has plagued society throughout history and must be repeatedly destroyed by society.

Quixote Rides Again

Cervantes told us that Don Quixote rode against those dammed windmills which he viewed as mortal enemies and he did so with courage and dignity!

Four hundred years later we have Steven Del Duca flying in the face of criminal liberalism telling us that his version of liberalism will take us forward.

Nice thought, but how will Steven Del Duca take us forward carting the enormous wingding baggage of McGuinty, Wynne, Trudeau and the whole corrupt liberal gang dragging him down? 

The tragedy is that Mr. Del Duca is steeped in the Liberal party morass that has brought so much pain to Canadian Citizens. Although liberal/socialists are not the only ones robbing Citizens of their Rights and Freedoms, they certainly are the vanguard of putting themselves above their constituents. If this were not the case we wouldn't be fighting for our freedom!
