  The main cause of Homelessness is Government

Not just any old government. Oh no! Homelessness is caused by a specialist government. A government of Tax and spend, Tax and waste and even Tax and pilfer.

The Niagara Independent Says Homelessness is an urgent problem in Niagara. 

A study conducted by the Region in March provided a snapshot of the dire situation. The third annual Niagara Counts homelessness Point-in-Time (PiT) determined there are at least 665 people (including 121 children under age 15) who are homeless across Niagara, living in shelters, makeshift campgrounds, on the streets, and couch-surfing with friends. The 2021 figure represents a 6.4 per increase from 2018, and a staggering 43 per cent increase from 2016.

As the Star’s Tess Kalinowski reported, a new study commissioned by the Toronto Region Board of Trade and WoodGreen Community Services shows that expensive housing squeezes out middle-class and low-income workers, costs billions in lost productivity and commuting, pressures employers to offer wage premiums to keep their workforce intact, and deters newcomers from moving her.

The analysis by Prism Economics estimates that unaffordable housing costs us between $6 billion and $8 billion a year in lost opportunities.

But not to worry The City of St. Cant is doing its part to increase of Homelessness by driving up the cost home ownership by adding development charges with their simple reasoning that other municipalities do it!

Even our bloated Niagara Regional Government under the Liberal leadership of the life-long Kathleen Wynne disciple is increasing property Tax at multiple levels of inflation.

We also have the brilliant Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau adding punitive Taxes on the back of Homeowners. 

Whenever the subject of homelessness comes up all we get from our illustrious politicians is benign rhetoric and excuses usually geared towards blaming the homeless.

Taxpaying home owners are now simply a cash cow for long term Politicians who ineventably worry more about their fiefdom's bottom line instead of their electorate's financial wellbeing; the same voter who is guilty of leaving these misguided miscreants in power far too long!

News Alert Niagara addressed Homelessness on several occasions receiving absolutely no comment from our elected officials! 

News Flash for politicians: Not all of our homeless, poor Citizens and working poor are mental patients and substance abusers!

Our current crop of political leadership is proving one of the greatest political leaders of our time to be absolutely correct in his stated assertion that, "Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem."

“Consider this, Mr. Haskell,” she continued in a snippy manner, “if you think that a one room schoolhouse is so hopeless, how do you justify this hopelessness, considering your admiration and respect for all of your heroes who garnered some portion of their education in exactly that situation?”

I stared at Ayn through the rearview mirror considerably longer than a driver should. Predicated on my growing respect for this woman, I concluded that my assertions would suffer if I ignored her counsel.

Who is the Fly in the Ointment?

That's right! A very large fly; more like a bug; a very big bug that is bugging us above all the authoritarian corruption and criminal depravity put together. 

The question now is; what are we to do about it?

News alert Niagara (established 2012) is the third edition of a 50 year voluntary effort to bring News and Commentary to the good folks of Niagara.

We think it is important to note that News Alert Niagara is an all volunteer and self funded entity bearing no cost to Niagara's overburdened Taxpayers.

News Alert Niagara broke many otherwise unreported stories in our investigative efforts all the way from egregious and unsightly (3250 pics) of Illegal Dumping to thousands of obnoxious Graffiti Scribble; from life threatening Pollution to hazardous Bio-waste; from the protecting Niagara's fresh water supply to exposing those who would endanger our water resources.

As volunteers we have had our computers hacked and destroyed and even had our recording devises confiscated by criminal authorities. We have been physically assaulted and we have been set up political criminals on false charges.

Through it all the one thing we have never lost sight of is the necessity to get the story out. Certainly it makes no sense to create news and information only to hide it under a bushel! News and information holds no value unless it is disseminated as far and wide as possible.

In our effort to disseminate our news and information we post on multiple social media sites and to dozens of like media sites across Canada and beyond. 

However, what kind of news and information Citizen would we be if we did not keep Tax-burning authorities and officialdom abreast with whatever information we have?

Therefore, we notify as many government officials to the best of our ability. We notify tax-burning officials via email. Each email is sent requesting both an delivery receipt and a read receipt giving us intel as to who reads our stories and who 'deletes without reading' (DWR). In the scheme of things there could be many reasons for DWR. They may have already read the article from the many and varied sources of our posting.

We can only make our stories available, we can't force anyone read them!

What we can say is that after hundreds of thousands of reader's page views and millions of positive likes, comments and shares, it is less than encouraging to have our authoritarians completely block our efforts. 

.

Now, for the Fly in the Ointment. That very large fly; more like a bug; a very big bug that is bugging us above all the authoritarian corruption and criminal depravity put together.

That bug is an authoritarian Tax-burner who has the temerity and gall to ask for the Citizen's vote only to block that Citizen from ever engaging with said authoritarian Tax-burner or listening to what the Citizen has to say! An authoritarian Tax-burner who once elected or wrangles their way onto some board or committee who then proves themselves as feckless predicated on their predictable and self-imposed ignorance. 

It's sad when an authoritarian's major contribution to society is to block or ban anything and everything! To choose not to read news and information voluntarily provided is one thing but to outright block any information, let alone information appreciated by so many, says a lot about the ignorant blocker.

Interfering, restricting, blocking or having public email restricted, blocked and interfered with in any way brings a whole new meaning to the term 'Public Servant'. 

As to the question posed above; what are we going to do about it? The answer is we are going to out these ignoramus blockers to let their electorate know the character and arrogance of the unaccomplished leadership they made the mistake of hiring or electing!

Identify a fascist

To paraphrase a historic Aphorism: We will know them by the actions.

And guess what folks? We certainly are knowing them by their actions! From coast to coast to coast the actions of those we have hired and elected have more than just let us down. They have lied, cheated and criminally abused us from their position of power. Perhaps it is our fault for electing and hiring inadequate and inept loud-mouthed hacks whose grand sum of their life-long learning has been how to be a politician. 

They have learned how to circumvent our so-called 'Charter of Rights and Freedoms'. They have learned how to control what once was our 'FREE PRESS'. They have learned how to terrorize innocent Citizens by misusing the shield of law and speciously claiming it to be justice.

So, there it is! The one true way to identify a fascist is to recognize the one thing that fascists fear the most and the one thing that fascists fear the most is public oversight. Fear of oversight is the fascist's reason to pay-off any media willing to accept a fascist pay-off and the same reason for the fascist's evil conduct of financial and physical abuse and even intimidation and incarceration of journalists who prove unwilling to 'take a knee' to fascism!

As long as we have an assumed right to an honest vote, the fascist clearly understands the risk of oversight and scrutiny. 

No society can long exist without oversight and scrutiny. Every instance of politically motivated disaster has occurred predicated on a lack of oversight and scrutiny.

Folks, the perfect example of political malfeasance comes to us in the form Fascism engaged in feigned ignorance. 

A life-long politician that News Alert Niagara warned about has the audacity and temerity to actually call oversight of his egregious  Conservation Authority, The poster child for needed oversight, as "unnecessary completely" and "unnecessary and burdensome"!

Shock and despair is the only way we can describe the enlightenment by Regional Chair Bradley outing himself as a true disciple of Witch Wynne and his abysmal conduct during his time as Ontario's Environment Minister. Oversight by any three farmers would have counselled Environ minister Bradley not to authorize placing a municipal drinking water well downhill from a manure-yard which killed Citizens in Walkerton, Ontario.

After decades of great volunteer effort, including dozens of expose` articles pertaining conservation authorities, aimed at keeping politicians informed, this hoarder of stolen property acts as if he was not part and parcel of environment malfeasance committed under his watch by Conservation Authorities. News Alert Niagara, a volunteer news and information entity, exposed the conservation authority's use of our so-called judicial systems to destroy Citizens and demolish families as effectively accomplished by other criminals with guns and knives!

Now, Bradley comes out of his fascist closet to denounce oversight and scrutiny over his tyrannical Conservation Authority which has proven itself to be in continual and dire need of oversight and scrutiny. 

What is unnecessary and burdensome is the concept that after asking their fellow Citizens for their vote they then psychologically enter a dimension void of hearing from those same voters, blocking their volunteered information and even blocking information to others while living in self-imposed bureaucratic ignorance.

Contrary to Chair Bradley's outrageous political concept, every single contretemps in our society can be traced to the lack of oversight and scrutiny. Public exposure of their conduct is the reason Chair Bradley and his ilk rail against public oversight and scrutiny.

History shows that fascists grow comfortable in their tyranny and history shows the the sad remedy.
