Only nine decades after Oswald Spengler labored on his historic masterpiece titled; 'Decline of the West' chronicling the rise and fall of empires over millennia we find a reiteration courageously written by Chis George in our local 'The Niagara Independent' under the prophetic title 'Lament for (what once was) a Nation.

Why the relative sudden change? How sudden? As sudden as the advent of criminals infiltrating political parties leading to the killer of democracy; CORRUPTION!   Gangsters and numskulls overburdening society with bullshit bureaucracy chewing up infinite resources.

We have been saddled with devastating and unaccountable arms length conservation authorities who have convinced the Citizen that it is they who protect our natural resources when it is the conservation authorities that are some of the greatest abusers of our natural resources. While the CA's turn a blind eye to the destruction of our environment they use our courts to destroy innocent Citizen for the slightest infractions in their effort to build their empire.

Our unaccountable Canada Border Agency has taken upon itself the right to torture travelers on suspicion of drugs with no evidence or indication.

For the first time in our history we have a political regime controlling our media including their attempt to censor the Internet.

Some believe that the regime's effort to disarm its Citizens in because of what the regime intends to do to  its Citizens. Anyone not living under a rock must see that the intention of the regime is already manifesting itself.

So who can we turn to? 

We do not get to vote for the best of the best! We have to settle for the least of the worst! No political party has shown a propensity to curtail the downward spiral of our nation. Our feckless political parties are primarily focused on their own welfare, power and privilege. Our political parties proffer just enough to gain control.

Corrupt Leaders will never voluntarily bring in a 'Recall Mechanism' which would help keep politicians more democratically accountable to the Citizen.
