Historic Anomaly

Seldom if ever has the voter ever been enlightened as to who is and/or who is not worth their vote! 

.

Such a historic occurrence presented itself  during the July 21, 2022 meeting of the Niagara Regional Council... For the second time!

.

Anyone interested in better governance can witness for themselves this historic event starting at the 1:15 minute mark of the televised anomaly which fully illustrates the good, the bad and even the ugly side of politics! 

.This historic event starts with Councilor Britton precisely making his case as to the Citizens right (not privilege) to speak their mind before council.

.

Councilor Britton clearly understands that listening to Citizens is the only way to comprehend exactly what is in the public mindset. Without hearing and understanding public sentiment all that is left is worthless conjecture!

Conjecture is what we get from St. Catharines' mayoral wanna-be Mat Siscoe at the 1:36 Minute mark when he surmises that he knows why someone tossed a brick though his colleague's window or the reason that graffiti was used against Mayor Sendzic. Worse yet is Siscoe's stated attitude that he does not want to find out either!

Perhaps, if Councilor Siscoe and his colleagues were more willing to hear from disgruntled Citizens as to why they are disgruntled he/they might be able to mitigate the disgruntled Citizen's point of view!

Obviously, We have more tellers than we have listeners!

.

Ironically, there are those wishing to increase the Tax Burden by adding security protection for themselves since they think they are above reproach in dealing with great unwashed. 

.

But, are they? 

.

Who was the Regional Councilor and CAO who perjured themselves against an innocent council meeting attendee? Who were the Council members blatantly lying in council chambers? Who were the miscreants who illegally raided the press gallery to steal reporter's computers and cameras and who is the Regional Chair still holding that stolen property? Who is the integrity laden Mayor of St. Catharines who bypassed the voters to promote his like-minded 'bunker mentality' colleague to The Regional Regime? Who is the St. Catharines Regional Councilor with the bunker mentality requesting expensive private security for each and every councilor? 

.

And who are the wisenheimers who think giving bureaucrats the power to second guess future behavior of Citizens in order to decide who will or will not have the 'privilege' or even the opportunity to bring their point of view before what has now, by vote, become a shameful regime?
