Cities own properties such as their city hall and other municipal buildings. They also put money away for emergencies. I would like the cities to show a detailed accounting of how this accumulated wealth exists. While some of it may be legit, it really bothers me to hear that the cities are reluctant to touch their emergency funds. If COVID isn't an emergency then what is? Why do we need to look to the province/federal government for additional funding? Remember there is no money tree and it sure looks like your great great great grandkids are going to be paying off the debt that Ottawa is charging to the credit card.
